On March 29, two Armenians were transferred from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia—and accompanied by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Zara Amatuni, Communication and Prevention Program Manager of the ICRC Armenia office, confirmed this information in an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am. According to our information, they are husband and wife: Samvel Galstyan and Margarita Shahnazaryan. As per Amatuni, these persons were transferred to Armenia upon their own wish. According to her, during this time the ICRC has assisted, with various matters, about 20 Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, and helped them to keep in touch with their relatives outside of Nagorno-Karabakh. With the help of the Red Cross, more than 50 Armenians have relocated from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia since last October. "Any person who relocates at his will, we [i.e. the ICRC] cannot push any person toward [doing] any act; they inform [us], we, as a neutral intermediary, help. Our mission is to ensure the transportation, when they cross the border, our mission ends, they are with respective bodies, [their] relatives," added Zara Amatuni.
