News - France MP calls on EU foreign policy chief to confirm that Armenia is not aggressor, has no plan to attack Azerbaijan

Anne-Laurence Petel, Head of the France-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group of the French National Assembly, has stated that Armenia is not an aggressor and has no plans to attack Azerbaijan. Also, she appealed to Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. “Based on [the] EU monitoring mission in Armenia, Toivo Klaar [i.e. the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia] has clearly stated that no unusual military movements have been observed along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. Josep Borrell, it's urgent that you speak with a strong EU voice to confirm your special representative's statement: Armenia is not the aggressor and has no plan to attack Azerbaijan," the aforesaid French MP wrote on X—former Twitter.
