Today is the eighth anniversary of the April Four-Day War. On the night of April 1-2, 2016, the Azerbaijani side launched large-scale offensive operations against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). Large-scale military operations took place along the Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact between the Defense Army of Artsakh and the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani side used practically all possible types of military equipment in its arsenal. But on April 5, a ceasefire was reached, and military operations were stopped. As a result of the April 2016 battles, the Armenian side had more than 100 casualties and lost about 800 hectares of territory.
