Media: Israel launched an airstrike on Iranian consulate in Damascus, six people killed

Iran's consulate in Damascus was hit by an Israeli airstrike, killing six people, Al Arabiya reported, citing Al-Alam. The strike "completely destroyed" the consulate and killed six people, the source said. Iran's ambassador to Syria and his family were not injured. According to Reuters, SNN news agency earlier reported that the Iranian consulate and the ambassador's residence were attacked. Syria's state news agency reported an explosion on the outskirts of Damascus.
