News - Nikol Pashinyan, Alexander De Croo discuss Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty process

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with his Belgian colleague, Alexander De Croo, on the margins of the first-ever Nuclear Energy Summit in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. The interlocutors discussed Armenia-Belgium cooperation, the Armenian PM's office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. The parties underscored the opening of the Belgian embassy in Armenia and expressed their belief that it will give a new impetus to multi-sectoral cooperation between the two countries. Also, Pashinyan and De Croo touched upon the current situation in the South Caucasus, in particular, the process of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, and the possibilities of unblocking the regional infrastructure. In addition, Nikol Pashinyan briefed his Belgian interlocutor on the Crossroads of Peace project of the Armenian government and its principles. The activities of the EU monitoring mission in Armenia also were emphasized on both sides in terms  of the strengthening of peace and stability in the region. Furthermore, views were exchanged on Armenia-European Union (EU) cooperation. In particular, they reflected on the democratic reforms being implemented in Armenia, with the support of the EU, and the dialogue on visa liberalization.
