News - Newspaper: Armenia authorities worried about forcibly displaced Karabakh residents’ consolidation, today's rally

Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: Today's rally of the initiative to ensure the needs of the [forcibly displaced] people of Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)], which will take place in Freedom Square [in Yerevan today] at 15:30, has aroused great interest in the Armenian information and political field. It is obvious that the RA authorities are somewhat worried and are trying in various ways to prevent the consolidation of the Artsakh people, whereas this initiative has already ensured quite an internal consolidation among the Artsakh people. According to Zhoghovurd daily’s information, thousands of Artsakh and Armenia residents are expected participate in the rally to raise their voice for the protection of Artsakh people's rights. (…). Let us note that in addition to information about various pressures, after the announcement of the rally, the RA authorities made several significant concessions in the previously announced approaches to housing and social programs [for the forcibly displaced Artsakh people]. According to some information, Armenia’s authorities are waiting for the rally, according to the number of people and received impulses, to finalize their approaches not only regarding housing, but also regarding other programs related to Artsakh residents,.
