News - Stoltenberg: Armenia is NATO’s important partner in peacekeeping activities

Armenia is an important partner of NATO in terms of peacekeeping activities. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in a joint press conference with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan on Tuesday. Also, Stoltenberg lauded the Armenian PM’s personal position and his commitment to peace and democracy. Armenia is a long-standing partner of NATO, Stoltenberg said, he lauded the country’s contribution to the NATO peacekeeping mission, and adding that Armenia has been an important partner in peacekeeping operations of the alliance for more than 20 years, helping to create a safe environment for all communities in Kosovo. Also, Stoltenberg welcomed the increase of Armenian peacekeeping troops.
