If we want to firmly demand that Azerbaijan give, we must come, stand at our border positions. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a meeting with the residents of Kirants village of Tavush Province—and responding to the Kirants prefect’s question that if they give Khremlu village to Azerbaijan, will they be able to go, for example, to the heights that are the lands of Berkaber village. Pashinyan added as follows: "And we raise the matter of 31 villages, which includes Berkaber, Aygehovit, Vazashen, Paravakar; the list has been publicized. The opposition says ‘he [i.e. Pashinyan] wants to give the villages of Tavush [to Azerbaijan].’ Is there a village named ‘Khremlu’ in Tavush Province? Who is the head of the administrative district of that village? They want to get to know. Is there a village called ‘Askipara’ in Tavush? Who are the inhabitants of that village? In order to receive what is legitimately ours, we must be ready to give what is not legitimately ours. I have come to inform and to ask you to give that the moral, political opportunity so that we go that way. We'll be back from time to time. When I have significant new information or options to discuss, I'll come, we’ll talk again in this format. I have come to share this information and to ask you to give us the opportunity to move forward one step at a time to see if it is possible to go this peaceful way, and specify the territorial integrity of our country. We have to do everything possible for it, and then come and tell you which worked out, which didn't work out."
