Armenia and Azerbaijan are close to a mutual understanding over the matter of recognizing the borders between the two countries in 1991, at the time of the collapse of the USSR, as a basis for border delimitation and mutual recognition of territorial integrity. This was stated Friday by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, during the discussions of the report on the progress and results of the 2023 implementation of the 2021-2026 program of the Armenian government at the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly. According to him, the positions of the two countries on this matter and at this moment are closer than, for example, a month ago. "In my impression, we are very close to reaching a mutual agreement on that matter," said the Armenian FM.
