Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Iva Petrova, head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Armenia. Pashinyan underscored Armenia’s cooperation with the IMF for the development of the economy and maintenance of stability in the country, the PM’s office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. The interlocutors discussed the reforms toward the improvement of fiscal and monetary policies, financial sector, and investment climate in Armenia. Also, the positive macroeconomic indicators recorded in Armenia by the results of 2023 were emphasized and the continuity of reforms was stressed in order to maintain economic activeness in the country. The premier emphasized that maintaining macroeconomic stability is an absolute priority for the Armenian government and that steps and reforms in that regard will be consistent. The parties reflected also on the humanitarian issues of Armenians forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and the measures to resolve these issues. In this context, the Armenian PM emphasized the importance of the continuity of the assistance by the international community.
