The security situation around Armenia continues to be tense. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at his press conference today. "It is very important how we treat and how we should treat that situation. I think we should treat it as a matter the management responsibility of which is ours—first of all, the government's. When we say that more emphasis should be placed on legitimacy in ensuring Armenia's security, this is what we mean," said Pashinyan and showed the map of Armenia. "This is the territory of Armenia, and we should not have any ambitions beyond this borderline because any ambition beyond this borderline will be used as our vulnerability, will be used in order to undermine our legitimacy positions. We say, whatever is beyond this line is not ours. Anything from this line is ours. We are going to ensure our security with this logic; future work should be about this. We should add three components to this. First, the ‘de jure’ component. It is indispensable to go and see on the ground where that ‘de jure’ line passes. It is very important that whatever line we specify, whatever point we record, there should be a de jure justification for it, which is there," said Pashinyan. The PM announced that today they know with millimeter accuracy where the border of Armenia passes, and the Armenian government has done major work in that regard. "There is a need to go, look at that border on the spot. In this matter, we are ready to look at the task not by the axiom, but by the theorem principle; we are ready to go anywhere to prove it. We are ready to go to solutions. We are ready to find solutions because we love Armenia and the Armenian people and do not want to bring them new suffering," said Pashinyan. And reflecting on diversification, the Armenian premier said: "Especially in today's world, I wouldn’t consider it too appropriate to talk about success in foreign policy diversification. The situation must stabilize so we can talk about success."
