I announced in the European Parliament that we are ready to be as close to the EU as the EU considers possible. This has been said, and now we have to know to what extent the EU considers possible, and then draw conclusions. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at his press conference today. "But it is also important to what extent the people of Armenia will consider it possible. We see that our relations with the EU are very active, and now it is good that the EU is saying that the relations of Armenia and the EU have never been so deep and strong. I hope that in the near future we will have several decisions that will be an expression of those strong relations. Although, it's not like we haven't had those relations until now. I just believe that the relations are developing, and they should have new expressions and manifestations. One of those expressions could be the start of visa liberalization talks between Armenia and the EU. One of the next topics could be the granting of preferential trade conditions to goods produced in Armenia and deepening economic ties with Armenia. The next expression could be the deepening of our cooperation and relations in the security sector, also the increase of the capacity of the EU monitoring mission in Armenia, also the extension of the mandate of the EU monitors. At the moment, it is two years; there may be a decision to extend it for another two years," said Pashinyan "We have a very broad agenda, and we are ready to expand and deepen it. At this point, enough has been said not to say anything new," added the Armenian PM.
