Turkey hopes for the return of the money it had paid for the purchase of American F-35 fighter jets, Sabah daily wrote, citing Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler. "I believe we will be able to have the money returned we paid for the F-35s; the [respective] negotiations are ongoing," Guler said. Earlier, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had said that Turkey was ready to discuss with the US the matter of returning to the F-35 program; Ankara considers it unjustified to remove it from that program.
