The state regime of Azerbaijan continues to destroy the Armenian historical and architectural monuments in Stepanakert, the capital of Azerbaijani-occupied Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). "Azerbaijani vandals destroyed not only the building of the National Assembly of Artsakh and the office of the Union of Freedom Fighters using heavy construction equipment, but also the figure sculptures at Renaissance Square of Stepanakert. All this once again proves that Azerbaijan is carrying out cultural genocide in Occupied Artsakh at the state level. According to Article 4 of the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in Armed Conflict, any act of vandalism, theft, robbery, misappropriation, hostility, or reprisal against cultural heritage is prohibited.
