Hamas has rejected Israel's conditions for having the displaced population returned to Gaza, reports Al Arabiya television. Hamas's refusal to accept these terms is linked to Israel's doubts about allowing the returning of the young—under 45—population to northern Gaza. It is also reported that Hamas demands the withdrawal of Israeli troops from beyond the dividing line, which must be decided by the mediators. In turn, Israel has refused to comply with Hamas' demands for the release of a number of persons. Before this, the Hamas delegation had gone to Cairo for consultations on the truce after negotiations with Israel.
