In its Cabinet session Thursday, the Armenian government approved the agreement, with the Greek government, on technico-military cooperation. The provisions of this agreement define the directions of cooperation between the two parties; in particular, promoting research into new technologies and military products, cooperation in development and production in order to strengthen the defense capabilities—and in accordance with the national legislation of the parties The agreement includes such important domains of cooperation as technology transfer and technical support for the production of weapons, ammunition and explosives, exchange of information and experience in ammunition production, conducting research in military equipment and their production, establishing joint organizations for their production, as well as other domains by mutual agreement of the parties. The agreement provides for provisions on means of technico-military cooperation, including training of technical personnel, and provision of services related to the repair and operation of military equipment produced in third countries. Also, an Armenian-Greek commission is planned to be set up on order to implement this agreement and facilitate cooperation between the two parties.
