Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by Lise Bech, Chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Danish Parliament. The PM welcomed the visit of the Danish delegation to Armenia and noted that the cooperation between the two countries is not very active. Pashinyan expressed hope that this visit will give a new impetus to Armenia-Denmark cooperation. At the same time, the Armenian premier emphasized the development of parliamentary relations and close cooperation between the two countries, including within the framework of international platforms. During the meeting, the interlocutors reflected on the democratic reforms being implemented in Armenia with the assistance of the European Union (EU). PM Pashinyan stressed that the development and strengthening of democracy is of strategic importance for the Armenian government and society, and the respective steps will be consistent. The parties discussed as well Armenia-EU cooperation, and the processes taking place in the South Caucasus. The premier presented the principle positions of the Armenian side regarding the signing of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, and the principles of the Crossroads of Peace project of the Armenian government. And in the context of ensuring peace and stability in Armenia’s region, the prime minister highlighted the activities of the EU civilian monitoring mission in the country.
