One of the 56 archaeological objects found in the early medieval rock-hewn structure discovered in the Ohanavan village area of Armenia is a censer. The object was cleaned from the dust of centuries at the Laboratory of Restoration of Museum Objects of the “Service for The Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum-reservations” State Non-commercial Organization (SNCO). Remains of incense were preserved in this object with a centuries-old history, which gives an opportunity to carry out a new research. "The censer was covered with dust, and it is good that the experts worked with the object. While cleaning it they found incense from the 5th century, which has a very good aroma," said archaeologist Ashot Piliposyan; The aforesaid SNCO will soon send the incense that has reached us from centuries ago for research to find out what kind of incense it is and what it is made of.
