At the end of February, the staff of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited the members of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) leadership being held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Zara Amatuni, Communication and Prevention Program Manager of the ICRC Armenia office, informed Armenian News-NEWS.am about this. Amatuni added that this visit took place within the standard procedures of the Red Cross, and the detainees were given the opportunity to communicate with their families. As of January 5, Azerbaijan officially confirms the capture of 23 Armenians, 17 of whom ended up in Baku after Azerbaijan's military aggression last September in Nagorno-Karabakh.
