An explosion occurred at an underground natural gas pipeline in Istanbul's Sultangazi neighbourhood, TRT Haber reports. The explosion was caused by a short circuit of electrical cables in the area where the underground natural gas pipeline passes through. Flames erupted in the area of the explosion, and after notification, police, fire brigade and medical teams were dispatched to the address. The fire was extinguished thanks to the intervention of the fire brigade. No one was injured in the incident, but some nearby buildings were damaged. Natural gas and electricity have been cut off in the area, and crews are continuing their work.
