News - Armenia president arrives in Erbil, capital of Iraqi Kurdistan

The delegation headed by Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan arrived in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The President of Iraqi Kurdistan, Nechirvan Barzani, met the Armenian president at the airport, Armenpress reports. In Erbil, the president of Armenia will have meetings with Honorary President Masoud Barzani, President Nechirvan Barzani, and Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Also, Khachaturyan will visit the historical citadel of Erbil and tour the Armenian church in the Ainkawa district of Erbil. At the end of the visit, the president of Armenia will meet with the representatives of the Armenian community of Iraqi Kurdistan.
