Miller: Washington continues to encourage Armenia, Azerbaijan to reach lasting agreement

by Lilit Feb. 28, 2024

Washington continues to encourage Armenia and Azerbaijan to try to reach a durable, lasting agreement. Matthew Miller, Spokesperson of the US Department of State, noted this during Tuesday’s Department press briefing—and answering the question about the expectations from the upcoming meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. "I don’t have any announcements to make, but we continue to encourage both sides to try to reach a durable, lasting agreement," said the US State Department spokesperson. The meeting between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, will be held on Wednesday and Thursday in Berlin, Germany.
