Newspaper: Armenia-Russia relations hanging by a thread

by Lilit Feb. 20, 2024

Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: After the Munich visit [by Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan], anti-Russian sentiments will be generated in Armenia with a new momentum, and an attempt will be made to fundamentally ruin the Armenian-Russian relations hanging by a thread, pushing Russia out of Armenia for good. Official sources say that the West made such a demand, in return for which they promised to curb Azerbaijan's military ambitions [towards Armenia]. That was the reason why Pashinyan repeated once again during a meeting with representatives of the Armenian community in Munich: "I’ve said a long time ago: Armenia is not Russia's ally on the issue of Ukraine; this is our sincere position."
