President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received the ambassador of Turkmenistan, Muhammetgeldi Ayazov, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the President's office. The President noted that the relations between Armenia and Turkmenistan have been dynamically developing for more than three decades, and expressed hope for the further expansion and deepening of the partnership between the two countries. In turn, Ambassador Ayazov conveyed to President Khachaturyan the invitation of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to participate in the state events dedicated to the 300th birth anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fragi, which will be celebrated this October. At the meeting, views were exchanged regarding the further expansion of cooperation in trade, economic, education, cultural, and several other domains between Armenia and Turkmenistan. Also, both parties emphasized the need to strengthen the existing partnership between the business circles of the two countries and to intensify steps towards the formation of new ties between them.
