U.S. Senate votes to provide aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan

by Lilit Feb. 13, 2024

The US Senate, controlled by the Democratic Party, has supported the provision of aid to Kiev. The bill to allocate 95 billion dollars to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan gained enough votes. 70 senators voted in favor, 29 opposed, Bloomberg reported. The document has now been sent to the Republican-controlled House of Representatives. The probability that the draft will be adopted is low. Under the draft law, Ukraine should receive more than 60 billion dollars.
