Azerbaijan Central Election Commission to sum up snap presidential elections’ results by February 17

The process of summing up the results of the snap presidential elections in Azerbaijan and submitting them to the country’s constitutional court for approval will be completed by February 17. According to the Election Code of Azerbaijan, the latter’s Central Election Commission must provide a summary of the results of the presidential elections and submit them to the Constitutional Court for approval within 10 days from the day of voting, APA reported. In connection with the snap presidential elections, that period covers until February 17. According to the preliminary results of snap presidential elections held Wednesday in Azerbaijan, incumbent President Ilham Aliyev is ahead, with 92.05 percent of votes.
