Armenia was collaborating with us because it needed protection. Apparently, they think that they don't need this protection, this compromise, the status quo, all this anymore. This was said by Svetlana Zhurova, the First Deputy Chairwoman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Russian State Duma, commenting on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s words that the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) did not provide its part in Armenia's security at the most crucial moment, reports Lenta. "It means that Armenia thinks that nothing threatens it anymore, and now they can manage on their own. Or someone else promised them something," Zhurova added. According to her, these are just words, and politicians say a lot in public now.
