The Czech Republic has collaborated with Armenia for quite some time, and it fully supports Armenia’s journey towards Europe. The visiting President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Marketa Pekarova Adamova, stated this during a joint news press conference with the speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, in Yerevan Wednesday. The Czech Republic supported Armenia in this direction, including within the framework of the Eastern Partnership, which was also hosted in the Czech Republic thanks to the latter’s chairmanship at the Council of Europe. The two countries cooperate on a bilateral level as well, the two parliaments can cooperate in many different domains, the Czech Republic commissions visit Armenia, and the same applies to the visits of Armenian commissions to Prague, she said. They are now working on our mutual economic relations, and part of the delegation are entrepreneurs, also representatives of the IT sector. One of the members of the visiting Czech Republic delegation represents the country’s ministry of trade, which means that there is still an opportunity to improve bilateral economic relations, and they are working on that, Adamova noted. She emphasized that cooperation includes cultural and educational ties, added the president of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic.
