The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has advised the world community to create a global stockpile of vaccines against future pandemics. This was noted in the IFRC report which was published in Geneva. Countries should prepare for the next pandemic by creating an international vaccine bank, which will ensure the availability and fair distribution of vaccines in all regions, IFRC noted. It added that the world community should give priority to immunization or providing medicines to people who provide food and medical care to the population during a pandemic, and work in the information and education sector.
