Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the current Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Martin Chungong. The premier underscored Armenia’s cooperation with IPU, and noted that it is a good platform to develop the interparliamentary dialogue with partners from various countries, the PM’s office informs. Also, Pashinyan welcomed the holding of the next annual IPU Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians in Yerevan—and which is planned for this September. The interlocutors discussed security and stability in the South Caucasus. In this context, the PM spoke about the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and the possibilities of unblocking the regional infrastructures, and emphasized the key approaches and principles of Armenia on these matters. Views were exchanged also on several other matters of mutual interest.
