News - Transport plane crashes, with 76 Ukrainian captives on board, Russia MoD informs

A Russian transport plane, which was transporting Ukrainian captives for exchange, has crashed, informed the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Russia. "At around 11:00am Moscow time, an Il-76 [transport] plane crashed in the Belgorod Region, during a planned flight. There were 65 captured Ukrainian servicemen, six crew members, and three accompanying persons on the plane," the Russian MoD statement noted. A commission of the Russian Aerospace Forces went to the scene to investigate the causes of this disaster.
