News - George Gerapetritis: Armenia's prosperity is possible only with Europe

Armenia is historically an important part of Europe. Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, who is on an official visit to Armenia, stated this during Wednesday’s joint news conference with his Armenian colleague, Ararat Mirzoyan. The Greek FM assured the readiness of the authorities of his country to support the government and people of Armenia. According to him, the development and deepening of relations between Armenia and the EU is important not only from the point of view of increasing the well-being of Armenia. Gerapetritis stressed that this is important also for Europe, Armenia is an important part of Europe, and this has been so historically. The Greek official noted that the respective measures will be consistent. And as an example of assistance, he pointed to the preparations for the implementation of the housing program for Armenians forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
