The passing year was tragic. This is stated in the New Year address by the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan."Sadly, no conclusions were drawn. We [i.e. Armenia] continue to beg for mercy from the enemy [i.e. Azerbaijan], calling this humiliation ‘peace.’ What else needs to happen for people to comprehend what is happening? I wish for a dignified peace and a collective will to achieve it," also reads the address by the second president of Armenia.
