We see attempts by foreign forces to draw Armenia into more dangerous geopolitical games. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Russia, Maria Zakharova. "We see how the West is completely indifferent to the fate of the Armenian people. They use the feelings, historical recollection, pain, and suffering of the Armenian people solely for their own interests. Considering the allied nature of the relations [of Russia] with Armenia, we are ready to contribute to the peace, stability, and prosperity of Armenia in every possible way; this is really extremely important to us. "For a number of reasons, this is our shared history, the interpenetration of peoples and cultures, the stability of the regional plan. These are shared challenges and shared problems that are easier to resolve together. "Thanks to trade and economic relations with Russia and other EAEU member countries, Armenia's economy is recording an impressive growth. For our part, we are committed to the further implementation of all planned programs in the key domains of cooperation. "It seems that we have good prospects for the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku, based on the tripartite agreements between the leaders of the Russian Federation, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. "There is a prerequisite for normalizing the relations between Armenia and Turkey [as well]. In general, Russia is interested in reducing conflicts in the South Caucasus and revealing the rich potential of this region, to which the expansion of cooperation within the framework of the 3+3 consultative regional platform can also contribute. "On my behalf, I wish the people of Armenia peace, prosperity in the New Year and, if possible, fewer problems than those they faced in the passing year," added the official representative of the Russian MFA.
