It is very difficult to say where the theory of snap [parliamentary] elections came into circulation. HayaKve, as an initiative, as such, does not pursue any goal of running in elections; its goal is in the civil field. Avetik Chalabyan, coordinator of the HayaKve initiative of Armenia, said this during a press conference Monday. "If such elections take place, individuals participating in HayaKve who have political ambitions can run in those elections in various formats. But that is a matter for the future when will there be certainty regarding those elections because at the moment they are speculations whether there will be an election or not. When there is certainty, every participant of HayaKve will express his position regarding it. HayaKve has neither the right nor a mandate to run in the elections," Chalabyan said.
