News - Parliament speaker: Natural that the CSTO will not want to leave Armenia

It is natural that the CSTO will not want to leave Armenia; their leaving is manifested by their steps. Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, told this to reporters in the NA Friday. Simonyan said that the position of the Armenian side towards the CSTO will change when this organization declares that the Azerbaijani military is located in the sovereign territory of Armenia—i.e. in the CSTO territory—and they, with all other countries, demand that these military forces leave the sovereign territory of Armenia. "Until there is an approximately similar statement, political assessment, political effort, there is no need for Belarusian, Kazakh soldiers to come here and force [them] out until there is something in the form of such a statement. The CSTO is not working. If the CSTO does not defend its territory, then the CSTO does not work," added the speaker of the Armenian parliament.
