"Last summer, after the launching of criminal proceedings against Sergey Smbatyan, his arrest, the management of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra had decided to suspend the implementation of the contract signed with the Maestro. Information about this was disseminated also in the press. "We are happy to inform that today we have received an official notification that by the decision of the board of directors of the orchestra, Sergey Smbatyan's tenure will be restored and he will continue cooperation with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra as chief conductor," Varosyan added.
