About 1,000 people injured in China earthquake

About a thousand people have been hospitalized after the earthquake that occurred in northwest China on Monday, Xinhua news agency reported. Hospitals of Gansu province have admitted 784 people. Before that, it was reported that 198 residents were injured in neighboring Qinghai province. According to the latest data, the death toll has climbed to 135. In addition to hospitals, 19 temporary medical centers and one mobile hospital have been set up in Gansu. According to the provincial health department, more than two dozen medical teams have been sent to 35 affected villages to treat the local residents. Also, medicines and psychological support are provided to the affected population.
