News - Armenia President briefs Uruguay colleague on South Caucasus realities

The President of Uruguay, Luis Lacalle Pou, received the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, who is in Uruguay on an official visit. And after the official welcoming ceremony, the two presidents met. The president of Uruguay emphasized that he is closely following the developments in the South Caucasus region. In this connection, President Vahagn Khachaturyan informed his Uruguayan colleague about the general realities and current situation in the aforesaid region, and reflected on the measures being taken by Armenia to overcome security challenges in the region and its Crossroads of Peace project. Also, the effective cooperation between Armenia and Uruguay on international platforms was lauded, and the importance of promoting the continued development of their cooperation was stressed. In this regard, the president of Uruguay emphasized that all the political forces of his country have a united position on all matters related to Armenia on the international platforms, which also proves the existence of close friendly ties between the two countries.
