News - Armenia deputy PM on border delimitation with Azerbaijan: We will work solely with topographical, professional maps

The draft of the Crossroads of Peace project of Armenia includes infrastructures that have already been developed and are in the process of being implemented, such as the North-South road. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan of Armenian told about this to reporters Friday—and within the framework of the meeting of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission "With the remaining parts, we still need additional research in order to have the final project cost. But I can say that we received an [expert] opinion about the indicative cost of the southern Horadiz-Yeraskh railway a year ago; and it was [Armenian] drams equivalent to about 230 million [US] dollars for the complete restoration," added Grigoryan. And to the question as to which maps will be used in order to delimit the borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Armenian deputy PM responded: "We have repeatedly stated that we accept the most recent maps of 1975-1990 as our starting map. We will work solely with topographical, professional maps, and we must also work solely with documents that have legal significance."
