News - Minister presents Armenia economy priorities to Canada envoy

Armenia's Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan received Canadian Ambassador Andrew Turner on Wednesday, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. At the beginning of the meeting, Kerobyan briefly presented the priorities of Armenia's economy and the tools of state assistance being used in order to modernize this domain. Also, the minister reflected on the favorable business and investment climate created in Armenia, and the steps being taken to diversify the country’s economy. Then the prospects of Armenian-Canadian cooperation were discussed in various sectors of the economy, including agriculture and tourism. As per the data by the Statistical Committee of Armenia, the latter's trade with Canada, in accordance with the country of origin, has amounted to 77.8 million USD in January-October of this year, increasing 2.4 times compared to the same period of the previous year.
