News - Premier, Estonia FM discuss processes taking place in Armenia's region

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Wednesday received a delegation led by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, the PM’s office informs. The premier welcomed the Estonian FM’s visit to Armenia, and emphasized the close cooperation between the governments of the two countries in all domains. Also, Pashinyan stressed the exchange of experience related to the institutional reforms being implemented in Armenia, and taking into account the effective steps of the Estonian government in that regard. Tsahkna, for his part, emphasized the willingness and interest of the Estonian government to develop cooperation with Armenia, including in promoting reforms. The interlocutors touched upon the humanitarian issues of the Armenians who were forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh, and underscored the assistance by the international community in order to resolve these issues. They reflected also on the processes taking place in Armenia’s region, in particular, the process of normalizing Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, and the Crossroads of Peace project presented by the Armenian government. In addition, views were exchanged on Armenia-European Union cooperation and its further development. Subsequently, Margus Tsahkna conveyed to Nikol Pashinyan the invitation by the prime minister of his country to pay an official visit to Estonia.
