News - Incumbent Aliyev to be Azerbaijan ruling party candidate in snap presidential election

Incumbent President Ilham Aliyev will be the candidate of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) in the early presidential elections to be held on February 7, 2024, said Tahir Budagov, Deputy Chairman of YAP - Head of the Central Office, APA reports. According to him, the administration of the ruling party will update its event plan in connection with these snap presidential elections. Budagov added that the date of the respective session will be announced in the coming days.
