We have said that we do not refuse any meeting; the last three invitations were rejected by the Azerbaijani side. Alen Simonyan, speaker of the National Assembly (NA) told this to reporters Thursday in the NA—and referring to the statement by James O'Brien, Assistant Secretary at the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the US Department of State, that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is looking forward to hosting Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov in Washington soon for peace talks. "We hope that the Azerbaijani side will become more constructive and, besides the statements that they want peace, they recognize the territorial integrity of Armenia, that there is no historical chance, they will be able to take some step that will bring real, tangible peace," Simonyan added.
