News - Armenia PM on building road from Turkey border to Georgia boundary: There is no conspiracy

During the Armenian National Assembly-government question-and-answer session Wednesday, opposition MP Gegham Manukyan asked what was the point of allocating 107 billion drams before the war in 2020 to build a road from the Armenia-Turkey border to the Georgian border via Margara village and Vanadzor city. The lawmaker added that at that time there was no Armenian-Turkish dialogue, and there was no talk of opening the regional communications. In this connection, PM Nikol Pashinyan stated that the aforementioned road, like the others, connects many Armenian settlements. "These ‘conspiracies’ are very interesting. Why was the Margara road being built in July 2020? Those roads are the roads of Armenia—like Yerevan, Sevan, Ijevan, Goris, Kapan [cities]. We are building all the roads," said the premier.
