News - Armenia ambassador-at-large: Azerbaijan’s understanding of peace is somewhat different than ours

A serviceman of Armenia’s armed forces was fatally shot by a sniper of Azerbaijan’s armed forces. Edmon Marukyan, Ambassador-at-Large of Armenia, noted this on X, former Twitter.  “Azerbaijan's understanding of peace is somewhat different than our understanding of the peace process. All international partners involved in the peace process must unequivocally condemn Azerbaijan's latest actions of avoiding negotiations and initiating new border killings, disrupting the entire peace process,” Marukyan added. As reported earlier, the Azerbaijani armed forces Monday discharged fire against the Armenian combat position in Bardzruni village sector of Armenia’s Vayots Dzor Province. Consequently, Armenian military unit serviceman Gerasim Arakelyan sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
