News - Azerbaijan, Turkey defense ministers discuss military, political processes in South Caucasus

The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Zakir Hasanov on Monday met with the Minister of National Defense of Turkey, Yasar Guler in Azerbaijani capital Baku, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan told APA. They highlighted that “Azerbaijani-Turkish ties are based on allied relations according to the Shusha [(Shushi)] Declaration. The exceptional role of the declaration in the development of bilateral relations was emphasized.” A detailed exchange of views on the importance of increasing the intensity of joint exercises, military-political processes in the South Caucasus and in the world, ways to ensure stability in the South Caucasus, and other matters of mutual interest was also held at their meeting.
