350 trees were planted in the Yerevan Zoo, the municipality reports in a video. According to the acting head of the Department of Nature Protection of the Municipality of Yerevan, Sirarpi Haykazyan, areas without new enclosures are currently occupied due to the planned expansion of the zoo. “The new tree species will create an ecosystem for both visitors and the animals living here. About 8 species of trees and shrubs were selected, including ornamental and other types of trees native to the area,” she said.
