Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: A few days ago, the RF [(Russian Federation)] Ministry of Defense [(MoD)] of the announced that the rotation of the Russian peacekeeping contingent stationed in Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] is ending, and the updated contingent is returning to Nagorno-Karabakh to carry out the tasks set before it. It is not clear what the Russian peacekeepers will do in Artsakh, where there are no Artsakh Armenians whom they had been called to protect. In the framework of Russian-Azerbaijani trade, some agreement was reached that the Russian military personnel who entered Artsakh in 2020 continue to stay there. However, it is noteworthy that we received information that the Russian peacekeepers continue to leave for Artsakh through Armenia. We learned from one of the Russian servicemen going to [Artsakh capital] Stepanakert that they got off at Zvartnots [international] airport [of Yerevan] and then traveled to Artsakh. We were unable to contact the service of the RF peacekeeping contingent, but our RA MoD source confirmed: "Russian peacekeepers go to Artsakh from Yerevan, as usual.”
