Alen Simonyan, speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenian assumes that there were no weapons in the CSTO support package which Armenia turned down. "I guess not, I can't say for sure," said Simonyan in a briefing with reporters in the NA Wednesday. Speaking about the topic of armament, the NA speaker said that Azerbaijan is attempting to present to the world that Armenia is allegedly arming itself and has offensive plans. "It can be said that Azerbaijan has everything except an atomic bomb. And today they are attempting to present to the world that Armenia is allegedly arming itself, attacking, and has offensive plans. I want to officially announce: Armenia has no intention of attacking any country, the armaments of Azerbaijan, which are bought for billions of dollars, the international community should pay attention to it and ask a question: why does Azerbaijan need that amount of weapons and ammunition? Probably, they don't have an atomic bomb only," emphasized the Armenian parliament speaker. Simonyan stressed that even in these days of the Israeli conflict, Azerbaijan is able to transport weapons to its country. At the same time, the NA speaker added that the Armenian side is constructive in the peace talks with Azerbaijan, is ready to discuss any proposal, but expects that Azerbaijan will also be constructive.
